Laurel is a Business Broker at LINK Business Broking in Ellerslie. Laurel is married to David with two grown up children. Along with some outside commitments Laurel enjoys fairly serious walking and Pilates. She has been a Business Broker for over six years.
Laurel has owned and been involved in a variety of businesses throughout her working career. As a husband and wife team the McCulloch’s started one of NZ’s first home-grown franchise brands, Arano. They developed this into a nationwide franchise, and sold this several years ago. Since this time Laurel has been involved in Business broking and been involved in the New Zealand Franchise Association. Along with selling stand-alone businesses Laurel also specialises in the sales and recruitment of franchised businesses. Brands such as Dominos, LJS, Lollipops, Palmers Gardenworld, Palmers Planet, bb’s cafes, Brumby’s, Retail Food Group, Pit Stop, Mr Whippy, Target Hypermart, Jamaica Blue, Storage Box, Poppies and more. Currently Laurel is the preferred broker for Dominos New Zealand. She works closely with the Australian team with recruitment of new franchisees and selling existing Dominos stores.
Using her practical knowledge of being a Franchisor and her daily contact with many systems Laurel also writes articles for publication and gives seminars about preparing, selling & buying into franchised businesses. Laurel makes a point of getting to know her Vendors/Franchisors and their businesses to enable her to sell and market the business with clarity.
Laurel enjoys helping buyers, Vendors or Franchisors with all that it entails to purchase, sell or recruit for their businesses. It’s all about finding the right way of presenting a business, explaining what it’s about and putting the right people together!
