Bernard has a Bachelor of Management Studies majoring in Accounting and Finance and has been a member of the Accountants Society (in its various forms) for over 25 years. Having worked in a number of industries, including Health, Telecommunications, Airline, Primary, Services and Import and Export, his experience has touched on most aspects of business in New Zealand.
Bernard grew up in rural Northland. After going off to university and pursuing his career overseas and then in Auckland, Bernard and his family recently moved back home to Northland. He is certain the opportunities for the Northland economy in coming years are strong: “ I believe Northland has huge potential business-wise as the capacity for growth and expansion in Auckland and other North Island centers becomes strained and less economic. It makes sense economically and from a life-style perspective for industry to relocate and expand in Northland”
Bernard’s skills are in seeing the big picture of a business, its owner, and value to a potential buyer. Bringing together the parties to a sale and purchase is done by understanding the needs of both parties, the numbers underlying the enterprise, and the opportunities inherent in any business.
