Steve Catley is a business broker in the Bay of Plenty, based in our Tauranga office.
Born in Rotorua, Steve is a proud Bay of Plenty local. He joined BP Oil in 1973 and went on to have a stellar career spanning 26 years. He was appointed many and varied roles over his career; operations, storage and handling, and nationwide fuel distribution. One of Steve’s many career highlights was managing Wiri Oil Services Ltd. in Auckland. Experience in the industry helped him to gain a broad understanding of storage and handling, distribution planning, and supply chain logistics.
After a departure from the Oil Industry Steve ventured into retail, and together with his wife he established a well-known gift store in Mount Maunganui. A move into local manufacturing was to follow. Steve bought into a manufacturing company in 2001, he went on to take full ownership of the business in 2007, before successfully selling it through LINK.
The experience and knowledge that Steve gained from his working and business ownership career awarded him a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in business. He understands the complexities of preparing a business for sale, and his tool kit proves invaluable when it comes to achieving the best results.

Steve has two children and lives with his partner Louise. His main interests are motorsports and general fitness activities.
