Nick is a Senior Business Broker at LINK Ellerslie, where he started broking in 2001. He has been General Manager of the Ellerslie office since 2017 to 2020. Nick has been a director of LINK International Group Ltd since 2008. A career working in sales and marketing, both as an employee and a business owner, earned him a true understanding of what it takes to succeed in this challenging business environment. Having personally experienced the trials of business ownership, Nick can relate to his clients’ needs, objectives and concerns, especially when it comes to getting the very best price for their business.
Nick has personally helped over 250 business owners’ market and sell their businesses since starting in 2001. While he has specialised in the franchise sector he has and still does sell businesses across all sectors. He has been involved in the sale of franchise systems and master franchises, ranging from 1 to over 200 franchisees and sale prices from under $1m to the 10’s of millions. He has also facilitated the sale of many national and international brands along with many other market sectors.
In his first two years as General Manager for the Ellerslie office he grew the business by over 60% to where it became the largest business brokerage office in New Zealand. In 2018, 2019 and 2020 the office took out the REINZ award for Largest Business Brokerage in New Zealand. In 2019 the office one LINK award for of Excellence in Business Broking.
Nick presents seminars to business owners on all aspects of grooming a business for sale, including the sales process itself. He also writes regular articles for national magazines, social media and print such as the New Zealand Herald.
Nick is an award-winning broker. He has twice been awarded the Broker of the Year award for LINK Ellerslie, and has been the proud recipient of the prestigious, New Zealand Salesperson of the Year award, for the LINK group.
