Martin is LINK’s most decorated business broker, awarded for his knack for closing deals on high-value businesses through LINK’s Enterprise Division. Backed by a strong foundation of business experience and recognised for his sharp intellect, Martin embodies LINK’s excellence.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant, a Bachelor in Business Studies, and a Diploma in Finance, Martin bringing a wealth of expertise to his clients. His career began in the 1980s with Fletcher Steel, where he started as a management cadet. Martin’s career evolved into senior roles such as President of Fletcher Forests USA and General Manager of Fonterra Ingredients NZ. After 20 years in corporate leadership, Martin decided to pursue entrepreneurship, purchasing a successful sales, manufacturing, and installation business in Auckland through LINK. He and his wife Lynn later acquired another business, integrating it into their original one and significantly increasing its value before selling both through LINK.
Drawing from his experience as both a business owner and a seller, Martin chose to become a business broker with LINK. He specialises in the sale of high-value businesses, helping business owners maximise the value of their enterprises and linking them with serious, strategic buyers. His approach is praised for being well-managed, stress-free and thorough. His background in finance, corporate strategy, and business ownership provides him with a unique perspective that consistently proves to be invaluable to his clients. With a reputation for excellence and a proven track record of success, it’s no surprise that Martin has won several industry awards, with his most recent being the prestigious REINZ Salesperson of the Year 2023.
Outside of work, Martin treasures time with his wife of 34 years and their two daughters. He enjoys relaxing at their bach in the Coromandel, indulging in his love for fishing whenever the weather cooperates.
