The tackle shop was established in the 1930’s and has been a thriving business ever since. 2020 saw the number of fishing licenses increase by 20%. Importing product direct from China and Finland has seen greater GP achieved by cutting out the middleman. Deliveries are still only taking 10 days.

The café is small but punches above its weight. It is a true destination for locals and travelers alike. The café was set up 8 years ago when the current owners bought the tackle shop.

This business is unlike anything else – it is The Creel Tackle House & Café.

Being attached to the Creel Lodge means the Tackle House has an on-tap customer stream in the anglers that are staying at the Lodge, who then come and enjoy the beautiful food that the café is known for.

Current owners only work two days a week.
