Wairarapa Fertiliser Business

The business has been running for 13 years in the Wairarapa, with a good lease in place for the quarry where the lime is extracted.

 The vendor imports trace elements to be mixed to the necessary specifications for the land it is being applied to. The blended fertiliser applications are completed through third party contractors or directly by the land owners. The blended applications are generally the result of soil tests recommended by consultants. 

This is currently run as an owner operated business although staff have been employed previously, it really depends on how a new owner would want to grow the business. Another leg of the operation sells direct to the likes of forestry contractors, roading contractors and landscape construction contractors.

There is a large growing market for their organic certified fertiliser applications on local vineyards and olive groves to name a few.
